High School RYM
Come to RYM this summer with The Fort! The Fort High School will be going to Panama City Beach, Florida for a week on the white sugar sands of the Florida panhandle. Reformed Youth Ministries (RYM) serves our church on a denominational level by hosting a youth conference for High Schooler students each summer in Panama City Beach, FL. At RYM we will endure an awesome road trip to Florida, play games, eat good food, spend your afternoons on the beach, meet for large group in the evenings, sing awesome songs, have a ton of sports competitions, and you’ll have your choice of super fun beach activities (there’s a full list on RYM website)! Things like swimming, sailing, paddle boarding, a kan jam tournament, volleyball, a sand castle building competition and much more. In the morning we go to two seminars of your choosing and each evening we gather for a large group meeting of singing and hearing from our speaker. This year our speaker is Elbert McGowan who pastors Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS, and is the former campus minister of RUF at Jackson State. The Fort youth ministry at Fort Worth Presbyterian Church (FWPC) is our church ministry for students in 6th through 12th grade to grow together. Our Pastor to Youth, Phillip Maxwell, and our team of caring youth leaders guide students into connecting life in Christ. As a ministry of Fort Worth Presbyterian Church, The Fort shares in the vision of our church as a whole: nurturing a joy for loving God and loving people by proclaiming, believing, and living out the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Fort High School has two meetings: large group meets every Wednesday night from 7:30-8:45 pm in the Fellowship Hall at FWPC and small groups meet twice per month on Sunday night from 5:30-7 pm in the high school youth room. The schedule can be viewed here and on our church calendar.
Sunday School meets from 9-10 am on Sunday mornings in Room 204 for 6th through 8th grade and in Room 203 for high school students.
